From 10-16 March 07, we enjoyed a week with other CEC chaplains in San Clemente, CA. We were refreshed in mind, spirit, and body by the opportunity to reconnect with colleagues, enjoy daily prayer, and refocus on sacramental life - including the annual renewal of vows. Fr Rick and Fr Bob apparently tried surfing, but there are no action photos... We also caught up with a few of our many friends in the area. The Waters hosted us for a lovely dinner at their home in San Diego. It was a pleasure to meet their beautiful girls and to catch up briefly on the last 7 years (how did we miss out on a photo?). Then, two of our seminary friends, Denise Overholser and Jenni Blake, drove down from Pasadena - we shared many laughs over dinner and playing with Ricky in the hotel room.
And many thanks to Grandma Richard for countless hours watching Ricky - we know it was a big sacrifice :)
