Merry Christmas Day

Unloading Ricky's Christmas stocking: hot wheels, a cell phone, and velcro fruit with a play knife for slicing it in half.

(There was a "Happy Birthday, Jesus" cake here, but no pictures. Ricky helped blow out the candle.)

New blue chair - a favorite all day!

Just the right size dustpan and handbrush (and broom waiting to be unwrapped), so that Ricky can help clean up his own messes - and stay out the ever-so-tempting laundry closet.

Finally, permission to play with the Nativity set - his own Little People version. Ricky had to pause for play time to thoroughly enjoy this gift.

"What's with this wrap job, Dad?" (How else do you wrap a big truck?)

We had ten for Christmas dinner, including Ricky's best friend. They took turns sitting in each other's laps on the new blue easy chair and joyfully entertained each other all evening. Of course, Renee was so busy in the kitchen that we don't have pictures of our guests or the enormous buffet...

Ricky's reading his new Bible, with his new frog and new cell phone in his new blue chair. Just before bedtime...we were all exhausted but happy. If only Nana, GrandRicky, Grandma, Grandpa, and Uncle Jeon could have been here, then our day would have been perfect.
