We started our trip by visiting Grandma and Grandpa Richard at their new vacation home in Arizona. Of course, those pictures are on Grandma's camera. While in AZ, we drove over and enjoyed a delightful lunch with GiGi and Great-Grandpa Charles. Ricky had fun wading in the pool and pulling Pixel in his wagon!
Ricky is all about trains and was enamored with these functioning model trains. They even had a small track with Thomas the Tank Engine pulling his coaches, Annie and Clarabel. (He's wearing his swimming trunks on the way to the pool.)
Layover in Memphis on our way from AZ to AL: Ricky is a more patient traveler than we are. After traveling for over 20 hours, when it was time to finally deboard at the Phoenix Airport, Ricky sadly asked, "More planes please?" We were glad we could oblige with plenty more flights over the next three weeks.
