Highlights: September 2008

Reading books in the sun.

Moving Day
Photo taken from our 2nd floor master bedroom window. Our stuff is covering our front yard and two assigned parking spaces. Our "new," right-hand drive, 1990's cars are in the background: the tan Odyssey van and the blue Nissan Mistral SUV.

The yellow "Rocket" is the landmark for what used to be known as Rocket Park, also conveniently located on our cul-de-sac (elementary school in the background). Not pictured is a tall, red slide that Ricky mastered and thoroughly enjoyed with Daddy. In November, both were torn down for safety concerns (older children could climb through the bars in the top of the rocket) and were replaced with sod. We're hoping for new play equipment in the spring...

Our living room was a maze of boxes...Ricky almost got lost.

Unpacking is exhausting work. Check out the favorite red sports car, "Lightning McQueen," climbing blanket moutain in Ricky's right hand.

Assembling the storage shed, which we have put to good use. Note the empty, pre-fence, pre-toys backyard.

"Mommy & Me" swimming lessons on Mondays and Wednesdays, but Daddy usually takes Ricky on Mondays. He wasn't too keen about jumping off the wall on the count of three.

Family biking adventures: Mommy and Daddy on the tandem bike and Ricky in the trailer. We might as well call ourselves a train!

Ricky enjoying his very own kitchen drawer. Sure saves much arguing over all of the other drawers and cupboards!

Date night at the annual Air Force Ball.
